Garden update Sneak peek! :)

Just a little tease, still a lot to do, still a few decisions to make but generally I have an idea where it is going. Mostly inspired by my mothers garden and the Greek plants you see blooming and smiling at you! In the image above you see a corner and a few plants to add colour, these are sunflowers, Imperial fritillaria, unfinished poppies and two lovely trees from Margaret from a swap we did.

And a little embroidery that started in 2002.
This year I only added the background and framed it.

New carpet added

The lighting was so perfect today that I loved taking pictures of the latest addition to the Manor Dining room. I purchased a carpet from MiniBeesKnees at etsy and was totaly delighted :) Terry is a lovely lady!

This is the view you would get if you were 1:12 scaled and were walking through the door, isn't it lovely! Its a slow process but its coming along... Planning plants and mirror......to name a few things.....

The wonderful furniture are from  Masters Miniatures. I bought them at the Kensignton Dollhouse Festival along with the Chanderlier. Tulips made by me years ago.

The sunshine makes the flowers stand out!
Don't you like the shadows?
Plan to add a light here, not sure what yet....and a keyhole :)

Hope you enjoyed the pictures as I did, have a wonderful day!

Mediterranean update

The furniture here are from my husband business trip to New York last summer. Not only do they make me smile because they are pleasing to the eye but because he was so sweet to take time to find them. He did such a brilliant job considering he doesnt know a thing about miniatures.

More work needed here too, more lights, curtains, deciding on the placements of the frames and so on.

Still unfinished......

New Carpet and new room

After a long time I decided to add a few things around Manor. Here you can see a modern carpet that picks out the creams, browns and orange of the room. The shelves need more nick nacks, I have some books and frames to add. And a couple of ideas I hope to finish this summer, keep fingers crossed....

This is the second bedroom in the Manor, more modern interior here, early days yet but thought to share anyway.

Caterina's flowers

Now that Caterina received the package I sent her, I can show you what was in it.
A sunflower, a primula denticulata, a primrose and daffodils.

I would also like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and may 2012 bring you many joys and smiles!

Manor Dollhouse Update, some help too!

I need some help with ideas for the display,
Should I put plates and cups or a collection of nick naks?
I thought I could display things from travels or  would more traditional items be better.
This dollhouse is a modern house.
If you can leave a comment I would be happy to know what you think.
I will pick someone's comment randomly for a surprize giveaway by Dec 11th

The lillies are by the wonderful artist Barb Plevan

I also added a planter on the veranda.

I need to make some bedding and other details for the side tables and closet.

The orchid is a swap from a yahoo group, you can read about this in this post here.
Hellie is the maker and its one of my treasures!
The trinket boxes are by my best friend Carol.
The tiny vase is by Bertie Miniatures

Update 2012: moved things around.....
Not sure but I feel this might give a better look, what do you think?
